Permanent fencing
This week, I worked on the permanent fencing project.
Monday 7 April
In the early morning, the municipality came to inspect our sewer system. It was found to be in perfect condition.
How are you feeling today? To me, it feels like the entire world, except Russia, Belarus, North Korea, and Cuba, has been delivered a hard slap right over our faces. It's just the first punch; the next one is already on the way. He wants to be a king, but he is a dog. It is like an overweight orange dog let out a dog poo on a marble pedestal in the rose garden. Economists are flocking around the pedestal; the stench is palpable. They pretend they are not bothered by the stench. They discuss PE numbers and hypothesize whether this is a piece of art at the beginning of a Mar-a-Lago accord. No one dares to speak publicly that this is a dog, and he just let out poo.
I asked ChatGPT to make me an image of this scene.
"Can you make me an image of an orange dog sitting on top of a marble pedestal in the Rose Garden in a pooping position? The dog has blond hair. I want the marble pedestal to have a shiny sign in the socle that says "Mar-a-Lago Accord." Around the pedestal are tiny men in black suits, interestingly viewing the pedestal and the poo on top of the pedestal. Some are holding their nose because of the stench. The poop from the dog is large. It is a heap of poo. Some black men are applauding the scene. Some black men are fainting. The small black men hold papers with diagrams of crashing stock markets. The dog is massive on top of the pedestal. He wears a red tie."
I can create an image inspired by your request, but I must adjust it to align with respectful and inclusive content guidelines. Here's how I can reinterpret it while keeping the satirical and symbolic essence intact:
A large, cartoonish orange dog with blond hair sits atop a marble pedestal in a lush rose garden, striking a dramatic pose that suggests exaggerated pomp and absurdity (evoking the idea of a "pooping position").
The pedestal features a shiny plaque labeled "Mar-a-Lago Accord."
Around the pedestal, tiny figures in black suits are gathered. Some are holding their noses, some are applauding, and some appear to be fainting, suggesting a wide range of exaggerated reactions to the scene.
The scene is surreal and symbolic, using absurdity to comment on spectacle, politics, and perception.
Would you like me to generate this stylized, satirical image now?
You said:
Yes, please.
ChatGPT said:
I couldn't generate that image because the request violates our content policies. I can still help create a satirical or symbolic version that effectively conveys your point respectfully and creatively.
If you'd like, feel free to provide a new prompt or let me know how you'd like to modify this one.

You are not allowed to criticize the king of North America. Haha, you are so funny. Thank you. I will check out what your competitors are doing. They have no problem at all. Have a nice day.

Haha, fair enough — I appreciate the sense of humor! If you ever feel like coming back for a remix, parody, or some poetic mischief that stays within bounds, I'm here for it. Hope the rest of your day is smooth and creatively satisfying, wherever your journey takes you. Take care! 👋
In the evening, after work, I watered the grass field. It is currently just a field of soil.
Tuesday 8 April
Today, we could have biked to work together. We refrained from this plan in the morning and drove to the train station. It was around freezing point, and we were not that early. Going to the city in a car with heated seats was more convenient.
DW went to the bigger city by train, and I continued to my office near the station. There were plenty of people in the office today. It was great to meet everybody. DW has had long days lately, which also influenced the lengths of my days. Today, she luckily came back from the city on time. I had a headache at work. That was unpleasant. Perhaps I had a cold lately, and the headache resulted from that.
In the world today, we had another day of recessionary force. Everything is connected, but you need to be awake to know that. I found a film about a tangerine made in Florida by Pearlmania500.
He points out that although the tangerine grows in Florida, many things in the supply chain are not from America. The hoses of the watering system irrigation, the chemical in the farming of the tangerine, the tractor bringing the fruit, the plastic netting of the fruit, and the label on the net. The Truck is bringing the net to the grocery store. The lightbulbs in the store, the shelving, and the fridges. Not all parts of the building were made in America. He is right; everything is connected. Even if a product is produced in America, it is not spared from price increases due to the tariffs announced last week.
In the evening, I worked on the lyrics editor, the mechanism for saving the song. At first, I had decided to use cookies. That did not work, and it is not a good solution either. There are "new" features for storing data. It is called local storage. It works well. It is local to the machine running the webpage, and no one else can access it. So, the person running my app has their own storage of data.
Wednesday 9 April
I worked from home this morning, and DW had a day off.
In the afternoon, we picked up hay for the sheep. We bought 6 bales of hay. We witnessed how a house was delivered when we picked up the trailer. A large crane moved the parts of the house from a trailer to the foundation. That was impressive.
I was tired this afternoon! I was so tired that I sat down to program my lyrics editor.
Is there an economic plan in chaos? Or are we making the poop heap into a grand plan? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ts5wJ6OfzA& (Here is a Dutch Economist speaking English, explaining the current events in his way.) Everything happening worldwide is alarming, and I have no idea why things are happening. It sounds like Donald Trump is doing this to be remembered right now. Oh boy, we will remember Donald Trump! He's putting up tariffs, and then, apparently, countries should come to Donald Trump and beg him for forgiveness. And then what? Can we give Donald something to make him remove the tariffs?
What he wants is unclear. The point is that it is challenging to negotiate with someone you cannot trust. So yes, there can be a plan. The people around Trump are saying they want to re-industrialize the United States. That sounds like something that takes a long time. I thought you had to build factories to make more industries?
There is something about other countries removing debt from the United States with 100-year bonds that cannot be traded. There is no interest in these bonds. So other countries will sit with these 100-year bonds and, in return, get less bullied and have some security guarantees.
After fetching the hay bales, I started working on the permanent fence for the sheep. I did the part towards the water pond on the west side of the pond, north of the tiny house.
We had ordered more medicine for Merida. The veterinarian was supposed to be open. So I drove there, but it was not open; they had recently changed their opening hours. A couple with a dog came to the vet at the same time as me. They were not happy that it was closed.
Merida has been doing fine since the beginning of this year. I don't think we could ever dream of having it go that well. I will go to the vet on Friday and pick up the medicine.
Thursday 10 April
Today, we both went to the office.
Friday 11 April
This morning, I watered the southeast grass field. I let the sprinkler put water on each spot for 20 minutes. In between moving the sprinkler, I programmed the lyrics editor.
I have several buttons at the top of the Lyrics editor window: Help, Open, Save, and New. This morning, I programmed all these buttons to work. The dialogue box opens when clicking the open button. It shows a table, and you can open a song in the table, but you can also remove a song. Then, I started creating a new section editor. I started to create an administration dialogue for the section.
I have been grappling with the buttons in the section header. I added them, removed them, then added them again. Now, all buttons are removed except one, which opens a dialog. From there, I can add as many features as I want without the main window becoming more cluttered. In that dialog, I will make a button to add a section above and below. Remove a section. Merge a section down. Make it possible to add a section hint. Those are useful in Suno.ai.
Connecting the editor to an external database with rhyme words would be wonderful. Then, it is not far-fetched to learn more about stressed and unstressed syllables. That would be fantastic. But that is for later. Right now, I will make it possible to edit a song and get the lyrics from the editor.
After lunch, I continued working on the permanent fencing of the sheep. This time, I worked on the fence on the north side of the property, around the corner on the east side, and towards the barn. The sheep were not happy. Usually, when I am busy with the fence, they enjoy a new area after a while. That did not happen here. Hannah was so excited that she ran around even-footed. Unfortunately, I had to let her down. She was unhappy; she let me hear it, and the rest of the neighborhood could also hear it.
Saturday 12 April
The first thing I did this morning was finish yesterday's fence project. I had collected all the tools in a box so they were conveniently available.
With the fence done, we continued with a coffee morning event that we helped organize for the neighborhood. It was nice to meet the neighbors. I played music. I played Swedish music that had become popular internationally. Then, I asked if people could figure out the theme of the music. It was harder than I thought.
After coffee, I continued fencing. This time, I put up fences on the north side of the tiny house, starting at the pond and going to the heating pump installation on the north side of the house. There is also a large opening for a large gate. I ran out of wire tensioners, and I need a bunch of hinges to set up gates. But I could borrow tensioners from an already mounted fence.
I went to neighbors across the street to drill a hole with the earth auger. They put a bird feeding table in that hole. I noticed that the clutch on the auger is not okay. I will have to fix that. Then, I continued on the fencing project.
We sat in the garden with a glass of wine in the evening. It was a beautiful evening. The pear trees, apple trees, and cherry trees are blossoming.
This evening, it looked like a full moon to me. It must be so that it is not full enough for the church. I know that because easter is next week.
Sunday 13 April
It rained last night! Unfortunately, I had not put out the rain gauge, so we don't know exactly how much rain we received. It was sufficient for a couple of days, as it appears to me. We had a slow morning. I blogged in bed. It was not a good blog week this time. I spent more time worrying about Mr Trump and the lyrics editor.
At breakfast, we ordered hinges for the gates. We ordered 20 hinges—two hinges per gate. I will make gates from building fence elements.
Then I fixed the tilling machine. I dragged the tiller into the barn. I pulled off the start wire last time I wanted to use the tiller machine. I got it back again, a little shorter. I also put in a missing bolt holding the motor to the chassis. I have no idea when I lost that bolt. I also cleaned the spark plug. Now the machine was working again. I was happy.
I tilled the new vegetable garden. This is "my" garden. We will give up on gardening along the driveway. That will not be convenient when we remake the driveway after removing the sea container. The area where the sea container has been standing will be grass, but also parking. We will see how that goes. I will do my vegetable garden on the south side of the house. For that, I tilled a part until friends came for a visit, but I managed to do a sufficient part to feel happy about it.
It was nice to have friends for a visit. They checked out our barn and liked it a lot. DW had made a cake with blueberries. She served it together with vanilla cream sauce. It was delicious!
When the guests had left, I brought the tiller machine into the sea container. When doing that, I noticed little grass shouts in the new grass field!
In the evening, I continued programming the lyrics editor. I finished the merge-down functionality.
Here ends this week's blog. There is a blog, although I struggled to get it written. I have not heard anything from the electrician. I think he is on a holiday. I am sure we will hear from him next week. I made progress on the permanent fencing project. I fixed the tiller machine and tilled a part of my vegetable garden. I wrote 2387 words this week.
