Kaliopi on April 7 of 2019
It is Sunday 7 of April, and I am on my way to a life painting session at the Stoker in Amsterdam. My keyboard is still broken. I cannot write P, and the enter key is broken as well. The last part means there will be no paragraphs. Spellchecking will fix most of the missing P letters. The weather is beautiful though. It is sunny although there is a very thin haze over it all. Yesterday I went to Delft where my daughter is studying architecture. We helped her to move from one room to another. She came to live on the other side of the road and canal of the Princenhof in the city center.
Hey, now enter worked again. It was hard work to move her stuff. I was exhausted, and my back complained this morning. So, I am a bit crippled. During my holiday I had a similar condition. Anyhow, I asked Saskia if it was possible to paint even though I had said I would not come and that was all fine. So here I am on my way to Amsterdam.
The last couple of weeks I have been watching YouTube movies about the climate. I had to admit I knew too little. We already stopped buying meat. If someone already bought meat and wants to serve it, we very well eat it, but there is not much meat that we buy ourselves anymore. I would not identify myself as a vegetarian. I like cheese and eggs very much, so there is a long way from veganism. This is the point we are at right now. So, I could do better but already like, so I am doing a lot more than many other people. In a way, I am working on saving the planet, but I cannot pat my shoulders.
Model Kaliopi. Artists: Chef, Irene, Lydia, Saskia, Floor and me.
I made her eyes too big. It was a beautiful model. Painters happiness indeed.
I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
Here on this site I let you see my creations.
I create, that is my hobby.
