Boathouse at Fångsjön, Jämtland

This is a drawing of a boathouse in Fångsjön near the village Vågdalen, Jämtland. This was a marvelous little building. It could fall over any moment.

With a good quality timber and a pot of the famous red color a house can turn into a kind of eternal monument in Jämtland. As the color slowly fades away the wood is slowly turning grey. Then it just stands there. For hundreds of years it seams. There are many old barns and boathouses in Jämtland that noone cares about.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
