Geese in v-formation

Some paintings are doing well on a distance and this is one of these paintings. I made this painting in January 2011. This was before I had decided to blog about every painting I make so I had no reason to write down when I made the painting and why and how.

This painting is based on a picture I found on Internet. This photo is of the kind of pictures on Internet that live their own life and they come back again and again but it is really hard to tell where it originally comes from.

The painting displays a group of geese flying in a v-formation over an almost frozen lake in a sunset. It is really complex to fly like this so this is often seen as a lesson for how to teamwork. Anything flying in formation in front of a marvelous sunset should be a lesson mankind.

And this painting was a lesson into how to paint with oil paint.
