Less is More
After I made my first paintings with the pears and the red background I had to clean the paint brush. Before doing so I smeared out some paint on a paper. It was nice to play around with the paint. Acrylic paint has a bright intensity to it that you need to struggle harder for to achieve with aquarelle. When I was done with the paper it dried and then I had it lying in my studio on the top of my pile of scrap paper. At some point I heard people talk about the “painting” and it was fascinating to hear the discussion about something I made just “randomly”. What could the motive be? This was new to me. Sometimes I joked about that the less energy I put into the painting the better it becomes but this was not good at all and still it had something – it captivates peoples fantasy.
I moved from Sweden to The Netherlands in 1995.
Here on this site, you find my creations because that is what I do. I create.
