Primrose, Primula vulgaris
Primroses are nice little plants. The word “vulgaris” unintentionally got my attention. Is this plant ordinary or abusive? It turned out that I was not up to date on the meaning of Latin adjectives. It just means common.
So here I painted this common but beautiful primrose plant. In this plant there are no vivid reds so that would not cause any issues. I tried two backgrounds: One light and one dark. Both have something special. I can see I brushed vigorously because there is no hesitation in these paintings. Nice!
