On this painting I put emphases on the atmospheric perspective towards the horizon. I made a couple of really successful cumulus clouds as well. I have something with atmospheric perspective. The idea is that in the distance things are grayish or bluish. Where I grew up we did not have those things. If the weather was clear then in the distance the colors was equally bright as they are near you. At least that is what my memory remembers about my childhood. It could be that I was not able to see it. I have been reading about the perspective and also this mystical atmospheric perspective. Obviously the sky in my childhoods Jämtland was extremely clear and free from dust and dirt. In Holland today there is another story. Here it is very obvious with the atmospheric perspective. I live in the area of Europe with the highest concentration of particulates.
On the painting to the right you can see a car. It is a pickup that got stranded in the Alaska landscape.
I painted these aquarelles on 9 of September 2011.
I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
Here on this site I let you see my creations.
