Tom Cruise

One year ago I was still busy with the mystery of portraits, and this is still a theme of my art one year later. I know I learned a lot during this year.

I have the feeling I would do a much better job painting a portrait of Tom Cruise today, so much better in fact that I was considering not to publish this portrait of Tom Cruise at all. On the other hand as long as I continue to improve as an artist I will always have images that are one year old and nothing published.

When I write about my own art and when I publish the images then I feel that I am learning something about my progress. From that perspective I would publish this picture for my own sake and not for you. On the other hand I learned that there can be someone out there that appreciates my art more than I do so for that person I publish this image. In the meantime for all the rest I promise I continue to develop my skills for painting portraits and then someday I will come back to Tom Cruise and paint him again. Live or from a photo but I would prefer live of course. If I got into a situation that I can paint celebrities live then I would paint a portrait of Angelina Jolie first obviously. First things first.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
