Paul's Scarlet
This is a painting of a branch of Paul's Scarlet (crataegus laevigata), and in Dutch it is "Meidoorn". This was one of these lucky moments that you can have as a painter. This was a painting that I made on one of the club evenings of www.aquarelmere.nl the aquarel club I am a member of. We had a "free evening" as we call it when we have no theme.
Outside the clubhouse where we are painting, Draaikolk, these trees are planted and they where marvelously beautiful in full bloom.
This was made 2008. In aquarelle indeed. I know that at this moment of time i was precise in my painting. It works out quite well with this type of motive.
I moved from Sweden to The Netherlands in 1995.
Here on this site, you find my creations because that is what I do. I create.
