Red haired model

In the spring time of 2009 I went a couple of times to gallery De Stoker for painting models. You get no lessons on these model sessions. You can get lessons at the De Stoker sometimes but on these occasions there were no lessons given. I went there to practice what I learned from books so I was fine with that no lessons were given. I had not been to Amsterdam so often so this was a true adventure. Amsterdam has patina. Thick layers of patina. In other cities I would call it dirt but in Amsterdam dirt becomes patina and it is charming, until you step with the foot in it.

Here I paint Acrylic, the background in aquarelle technique and the model in opaque. Small steps forward. The arms again.
