Dressed Model

Here is the result a model session Gisela organized. I explicitly did not do anything with the face. The fabric of the shirt and the jeans was interesting to paint.

On this painting you can see many distinct regions with little white areas in between. This is an unusual technique for me. I would like to practice this more. My problem with painting aquarelle with more distinct areas is that it takes more time. I have figured out three ways of dealing with this. I could paint outside in the sun a warm summer day. It is also possible to put the paper on a raclette grill on a mild heat. It is also possible to pour vodka into the aquarelle water. Whatever technique that suites me best I think I might need to learn how to have be patient.

You might wonder why the title says "Dressed Model". In this blog is model almost synonym with a naked nude model. That is why I point out explicitly that this is a painting of a dressed model.

I moved from Sweden to The Netherlands in 1995.

Here on this site, you find my creations because that is what I do. I create.
