Good morning, it is Monday 10 of December and the weather this morning looked promising at first. There was a glimpse of clear sky at the horizon. Unfortunately, that would be replaced by rain as the morning progressed.

I am on my way to work. I am sitting at a seat without a tray in an awkward way with my mobile and keyboard balancing on my lap, but I am fine. I missed my train to Amsterdam Central station, so I am off on a creative journey through the Netherlands.

8:35 I will be at Amsterdam Zuid, and then I will take metro 52 and all sorts of other transportation methods. Oh well.

Last night I was working on my blog of the painting of Piet, and after that, I looked into how to produce a DXF drawing for the plan of our future house and border. I tried Fusion 360, and it worked fine. It can save a sketch as DXF files!

It occurred to me that it is a very difficult task to produce a DXF file for someone that never heard of AutoCAD or Fusion 360 or programs like those. These kinds of programs have a really steep learning curve. So that got me started thinking on this process of getting to live in this new part of Almere. What kind of people can make a plan like this, cooperate with future neighbors, finance it, sift through rules and so on?

I managed to arrive on time in Amsterdam. Skipped Amsterdam Zuid and hopped off at Duivendrecht. Then Tram 54 to Wesperplein. Then tram 19 to the destination. Worked hard the whole day and got on a late train in the evening. On the ways home, I took a couple of night shots. When I am in Amsterdam I work near the shop where they sell Tesla cars in Amsterdam. It always makes me curious how they get the cars into the showroom because there are no clear signs of that you can open the side of the building.

Tomorrow I will start to set up my photo studio at work. I will make portrait photos of colleagues that want that. It is a semi-professional setup that I made. I use two flashes, and at least two umbrellas for a beautiful soft light. The flashes are triggered with a remote control that I put on the camera. Making artistic portraits with this setup is possible. As a background I got a curtain mounted on a rod hanging from the ceiling. The only little issue is that I will need to iron away the wrinkles in the curtain when I arrive at work. I cannot possibly get it to the location wrinkle-free. That means I am standing there ironing that thing on an old iron board that I got to great delight for some of my colleagues. Well, what must get done has to get done.

Now I arrive in Almere.

After dinner, my phone died. It would not reboot at all. Later it would turn out that the on/off button was broken.
