Fisheye Portrait

I tried ever so hard to paint portraits. Here is a sample of a portrait painted from a photo where the photo was taken with a fisheye effect. I was successful in bringing over this fisheye effect without realizing that it was there until much later when I found a book saying that “if you make photos to paint from then don’t zoom in too much with a compact camera because then you will get a fish eye effect”. Actually the painting skill that I applied to the painting was “ahead of me” while the portrait drawing still had a lot to be developed at this point.
