Apple on a plate

When I made this painting of the apple on a plate I was determined that this time the competition between the apple and me would not end in favor of the apple. That is also how I talk about painting apples. Apple versus Jens, 5 – 1 to the Apple. This apple has all the features I can wish for. And it is lying on a plate with a knife. The plate is lying on my kitchen table of birch wood. When I was done I celebrated the victory by eating the apple.
