Milk Can

This is a crowded still life’s from 3rd of December 2009. On the left side you can see tomatoes on a plate. They are lying in front of a little cup. Next to the cup is the biggest object of the painting; a milk can. To the right of the milk can you can see a smaller bowl and to the right of the bowl you can see a pot with paint brushes. The objects are lying on a square cloth.

You could say that I came from the precise drawing but here you can see how I am eagerly trying to learn how produce a more relaxed image. I am also playing with the contrasts in this painting leaving areas nearly white but also using deep dark colors. A number of paintings this period had these dark backgrounds.
