Autumn Apples

These apples were painted one of the last warm days of the Indian summer time of 2009. I sat in the garden with these apples in front of me with the first samples of leaves that I had found that autumn. And I was painting in acrylic on canvas. It was an absolutely fantastic feeling.

I was painting these apples for hours and hours.

Usually I say “Apples versus Jens 5 – 1 to the Apples” but this time I actually succeeded to get a bit of that apple feeling. I conclude that you cannot paint apples too quick.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
