Ben in full color
On 21 December it was time for a session of the model and portrait course at de Kunstlinie. It was supposed to be the exercise with the cold colors versus warm colors. Last year when I did this exercise the result was nice. It looked like Ben was standing in the blue moonlight. That exercise was nice, last year.
Now one year on I wanted flesh tones and I wanted to use all the colors of the paint and so it became. I was inspired by the portrait of Karolina at de Stoker so I suggested that the male model, Ben, would sit similar to like that as well and that was accepted.
This was one of these huge papers so it was hard work again. A course evening takes two hours so there is no time for freewheeling. This is acrylic paint and I was lucky to get the flesh tones right and it was great fun really.
When the evening was over Iwona was pleased with the result. Me too.
This painting was the last painting of 2011! It was a great year for my painting.
I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
Here on this site I let you see my creations.
I create, that is my hobby.
