When I painted this picture I was looking for a face of a famous actor, easy to recognize. It had to be a man. I had this feeling that I had been painting women a lot lately and I was thinking that people around me would think that it was about time to paint a man also. So I painted this.
It is good to try various motives, female and male portraits etc but this nagging feeling of when I do this, A, then I also have to do that, B, was no pleasant feeling. So I decided that from now on I will self decide what to paint and what not. If it is going to be more female then it has to do with that females are more appealing to me. Apparently.
