Rope mat

This rope mat aquarelle is a huge painting made from a photo I found on the Internet. On the right side you can see a round tree plug on the ship deck that the mat was lying on. I tried to paint this aquarelle really quick so that the paint would not dry but instead float over and mix on the paper. To achieve this I used two paintbrushes to paint the rope; one paintbrush for the darker color and one for the lighter color.

I was born 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up in the small village Vågdalen in north Sweden. 1989 I moved to Umeå to study Computer Science at University of Umeå. 1995 I moved to the Netherlands where I live in Almere not far from Amsterdam.
